Innovate • Code • Conquer
Byte Battle is a student-led, student-first hackathon designed and run by a core team of school volunteers with guidance from faculty. Our mission is simple: give students a safe, inspiring space to learn by building. Over one focused weekend, participants turn ideas into working websites (Grades 6–8) and Python web apps (Grades 9–12) under the guidance of trained college mentors who coach—not code.
Now in its third edition, Byte Battle brings together schools and colleges across Bengaluru, averaging ~250 participants in previous years. We keep the structure tight—clear categories, defined stacks (HTML/CSS/JS for juniors; Django/Flask/FastAPI for seniors), accessible design requirements, and graded checkpoints—while leaving room for creativity through real-world themes like AI for Social Good, FinTech, EdTech, Sustainability, Wellbeing, and Clubs & Events.
Beyond the trophies, Byte Battle is about community: student volunteers manage logistics, event flow, and media; mentors receive Letters of Recommendation for ethical coaching; and teams leave with portfolios, confidence, and a network. Built by students, for students—Byte Battle is where first demos become future dreams.
